In today's interview, you'll get to know Dr. Ingo Bott, whom I had the pleasure of meeting in Düsseldorf a few weeks ago. In this conversation, he tells us about his rather unusual path in the legal world: how, as a doctor of law, he became a partner in a law firm at a very young age and then founded his own.
As a criminal lawyer, Ingo has just achieved great success in the “Love Parade trial” – which the media dubbed the biggest trial of all time – and is also devoting himself to his passion, writing books.
Show notes
Ingo knew from an early age that his career would focus on criminal law, but becoming a lawyer was completely unforeseeable – and was due to a disruption in his life. Plans abroad were dashed, his life turned upside down – he suddenly had to consider how to earn money and support his family. In this conversation, he shares with us how he initially perceived starting out as a lawyer as a kind of curse and suddenly realized that he really enjoyed it. You'll learn how Ingo defines success for himself and what is non-negotiable in his personal and professional life. You'll also hear how he meets his clients' high expectations and the role honesty plays in this. Want to know how Ingo came to found his own "living room" law firm, how he successfully took the plunge, and what makes him such a special person in his field? Listen now!
