Translated - German Episode

“If I had had something like a plan, I wouldn’t have done most of the exciting things in my life.” That’s the title of this episode in which I talk to Christoph Selig.

In short, his journey could be described as follows: after graduating, he worked in the Bundestag, became a lobbyist, and then, after completing an MBA, began his career in business with a focus on social responsibility. Today, he heads the GoTeach team at Deutsche Post DHL Group in Bonn.

Show notes

He tells us how he only recognized a common thread in his professional journey in retrospect. You'll hear how, in his early 40s, with a full-time job and two children, he embarked on an MBA, and how it opened up a whole new path for him. So he seized the opportunity to set up an education-focused volunteer project with his current employer and talks about this exciting challenge. He discusses the similarities and differences between these professional worlds that have become major drivers for him, the role his network and curiosity played in this, and how he mastered the various phases of change – you'll hear all this and much more in this episode!

Are you perhaps wondering whether you're in the right place, where you are professionally at the moment, and whether this is really (still) what you really want? As a career and business coach, I'm happy to support you during this orientation phase. Feel free to contact me for a free initial consultation at coaching@gina-friedrich.com .
