He showed me that he is a source of encouragement and strength just shortly after this conversation when he invited me to be one of 8 leading minds in personal development at his Instagram Live Festival to participate. That was a huge challenge (because I don't really like putting myself out there), but it was an important first step in that direction. But today, let's talk about Damian... ☺
Show notes
In the first of two parts, Damian takes us on his journey, using wonderfully vivid language. He founded his first company at the age of 14, set his sights on becoming "rich" based on an experience, became a passionate investor, and, in order to study, obtained his vocational high school diploma. Later, he met a mentor who would have a profound influence on his life...
When it became clear that he had trusted the wrong person, his company slid into insolvency overnight. Learn how he reclaimed control over his life by asking himself "who is really responsible for this."
In the second episode, Damian describes how he desperately wanted to figure out what was wrong with him—and who helped him do it. He talks about how he realized he seemed to always be seeking external recognition, how his next business idea came about, and how he cleared up his inner world. He discusses the role coincidences played in this, and how he came to the realization that he had to go through precisely this pain to discover who he truly is. We also discuss whether and why failure contributes to learning. ☺
